Book Cover Design
Book cover design that earns the second look
Readers meet your cover before they meet your sentences. We design front, spine and back covers that signal the right genre, read clearly at thumbnail size and arrive in the exact file format each platform expects.
- Front, spine and back cover as one print-ready file
- Ebook cover sized for every major store
- Typography and imagery chosen for your genre
- Specs checked against the platform you publish on
A cover is a piece of marketing that happens to be beautiful
A book cover has three jobs. It has to stop a scrolling reader, tell them within a second what kind of book this is, and make the book feel trustworthy enough to click. A cover that is lovely but ambiguous fails at the second job; a cover that copies the loudest bestseller in the category fails at the third. Our designers start with the reader, not the software.
Every project begins with a short creative brief. We ask about your story or argument, your intended readers, three or four covers you admire and, just as useful, covers you dislike. From that we propose a direction in plain language before any artwork is polished, so you are never surprised by where the design is heading.
Print covers are technical documents as much as artwork. Trim size, page count, paper stock, spine width and bleed all change the final file. We build the full wrap with these measurements from the platform you plan to use, then export the files in the formats it asks for. If you change page count after your final edit, we recalculate the spine so nothing prints off-centre.
Why authors choose our book cover design service
Genre-aware design
Romance, thrillers, memoir, business and children's books each have visual conventions. We use them deliberately, and break them only where it helps you stand out.
Readable at thumbnail size
Most readers first see your cover as a small image in a store listing. We test titles and author names at that size, not only at full print scale.
One design, every format
Paperback wrap, hardcover wrap, ebook cover and social-media versions are produced from a single concept so your book looks consistent everywhere.
Correct print specifications
We calculate spine width, bleed and safe margins for your chosen trim size and paper, then confirm them against the platform's current template.
Clear communication
You see concepts early, give feedback in plain language and always know what happens next. Replies arrive within one working day.
Your files are yours
You receive layered source files and flattened exports so you can reuse the artwork for future editions, promotion or a series.

Questions about book cover design
Can you design a cover before my book is finished?
Yes, for the front cover. The spine and back cover depend on your final page count and paper choice, so we complete the full wrap once the interior is locked.
Which platforms do you prepare covers for?
We prepare covers for Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Barnes & Noble Press, Draft2Digital, Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play Books and direct printers. Tell us where you plan to publish and we follow that platform's specifications.
Do you use stock images?
Sometimes, when a licensed photograph or illustration is the best fit. We tell you which assets are licensed and for what use. Where a project needs original artwork, we scope that separately.
What if I do not like the first concepts?
Tell us what is missing. Feedback such as "too busy" or "feels too serious" is enough for us to adjust direction. Revision rounds are set out in your written scope before work starts.
Do I get the source files?
You always receive the final print and ebook files. Layered source files can be included on request, subject to licences for any third-party fonts or images used.
